It’s a small business
Discover the beauty of handcrafted woodwork!
We are the smallest of small businesses. We are our business. We are not only the maker, but also the bookkeeper, marketer, social media person, photographer, copy editor, webmaster, videographer, event organizer, shipping/receiving department, IT, customer service, and overall troubleshooter for anything and everything that can possibly go wrong.
As a woodworker with a small business, I am part of that tradition. Every piece of furniture, every handmade cutting board, and every unique carving I create is a continuation of a legacy that goes back hundreds of years. What makes my work different, however, is not just the materials or the tools, but the care and craftsmanship that go into each creation.

Art, particularly functional art, makes a perfect gift for any occasion—weddings, housewarmings, anniversaries, birthdays, or just because. What are the odds they already have one just like it? Give them something special they’ll remember every time they see it. Stand out from the usual gift registry choices and add something unique to their home.
You can get a high-quality piece of art that will last for generations for the price of a single night out. Yes, finely crafted artwork often costs a little more, but with so much disposable junk that comes and goes, it’s nice to have something special that can stand the test of time. An actual, individual person spent time making that thing with their own two hands (or whatever they may have used… artists get creative). A person skilled in their craft will create something that people want to keep around and pass along.
In an era of quick fixes and disposable goods, it’s easy to forget the value of something made by hand. When you invest in a piece of handmade woodwork, you’re not just buying a product – you’re supporting a craft that has withstood the test of time. From the first cut to the final finish, I pour my knowledge, skill, and heart into each project, knowing it will carry with it the legacy of woodworking for generations to come.
As woodworking continues to evolve, trends and technology shape the future of the craft. Embracing new techniques, machinery, and materials expands the possibilities for innovation in woodworking. Keeping up with the latest trends and technological advancements allows woodworkers to stay at the forefront of the craft.

Sustainable practices and material sources are becoming increasingly important in the world of woodworking. As environmental awareness grows, woodworkers are embracing responsible practices that minimize waste and prioritize eco-friendly materials. By incorporating sustainability into your woodworking journey, you contribute to the preservation of our natural resources.
As I work on each piece, I think about the artisans who came before me and those who will follow in my footsteps. The history of woodworking is a shared story, and with every piece created, I contribute to its ongoing narrative. In the world of mass-produced goods, the unique, handcrafted items that come from small businesses are a reminder of the artistry and heritage that have shaped this craft for centuries.
